Officially formed in 2020, the DIY Collective team have been creating in Victoria and Tasmania for many years. Our founding directors, Ruby Doherty and Jayden Faul, are recipients of a Tasmanian Theatre Award and have worked together on several shows across Tasmania’s north-west coast before moving to Victoria. Producer Helena Rann joined them to create her first show, Rent. We have been lucky to have Camryn Jordans on board since our planned season of Heathers. 

We are passionate about creating opportunities for participation in community theatre. We recognise and address the obstacles - be they financial constraints, time limitations, or lack of prior experience - ensuring everyone has the chance to participate. Our ethos revolves around being open, accommodating, and approachable, striving to create a welcoming and safe environment.
